A properly prepared order or estimate request should ideally contain all of the details needed to complete the project. The more detail you provide, the quicker you will receive a reply to your request and the more likely it is to be correct. All details are important. Please be as descriptive as possible.

How can I get help with the artwork?

What if I have artwork already?

Indicate what type of file is being provided. Is it a Mac file, a PC file? What program is it in? A properly prepared high resolution PDF file is a reliable format.back to top

What details are needed for a print project?

If this is an offset printing project, is it produced using spot (specific or PMS) colors, or is it produced using 4 color process (full color) printing? If it is a spot color project, please specify the colors being used on each side of the piece. back to top

What details are needed for a copy project?

If this is a digital job, please specify whether it is black and white or full color. back to top

Do I need to specify a paper?

As to the paper, please specify the brand (if any specific brand is desired), the weight of paper needed including whether it is text or cover, and the final size of the piece. Also, specify the color of the stock.

How do I describe the size and length of the document?

Let us know both the flat size and the finished size. For example a typical newsletter is 11"x17" flat then folded to 8.5"x11". Indicate the number of pages not sheets in the document. For example two 11"x17" sheets folded together to 8.5"x11" makes an 8 page newsletter. Also, specify whether the sheets are printed on one side or two sides. back to top

What finishing details should I provide?

Bindery: Almost all jobs have bindery. This includes folding, scoring, perforating, drilling, collating multiple sheets together, stapling, stitching into booklets, shrink wrapping, laminating and all kinds of book binding (stitching into a magazine, plastic coil binding, Comb binding, velo binding, perfect binding, etc.). Please indicate what types of binding will be needed and the locations needed for each process.
